Your information.
A clear explanation.
How the STAR website and employee learning hub use information you provide.
Using the website and learning hub.
Requests you send to STAR
When you submit a project, support or directory request, the site stores the contact details and request information you provide so the STAR team can review and respond. Sending a directory or credential request does not authorize an access change. Avoid including passwords, access codes or unnecessary personal information.
Employee learning records
The private learning hub stores staff account details, assigned course versions, lesson progress, assessment attempts and supervisor decisions. Authorized STAR managers can use these records to manage training and support employees. Employees can see their own assigned learning and its resources.
Sign-in and security
A required session cookie keeps you signed in. Passwords are stored as salted hashes. The application records management actions and uses a hashed network identifier to limit repeated sign-in attempts and form submissions. The server and hosting provider may also retain operational and access logs.
Files and hosting
Course resources are private. In the AWS deployment, application records are held in the site’s PostgreSQL database and files and backups are stored in Amazon S3. Authorized file links expire. Downloading a resource or a project-planner summary places a copy on your device.
Planner and external links
The project planner creates a summary on your device. It sends nothing until you separately submit a request form. Phone links open your calling app; map and manufacturer links open other websites with their own privacy practices. This application does not include advertising trackers or analytics scripts.
Questions and corrections
Contact your STAR team using the contact page to ask about information you provided, request a correction, or discuss access to employee records. Your STAR administrator can deactivate a staff account when access is no longer needed.
